Document Q&A

Ask the submission a question. Get an answer with the page it came from.

The assistant reads only the documents uploaded to that submission. If the answer is not in the packet, it says so instead of guessing.

Ask this submission
Any losses over $50,000 in the last five years?

Yes, one. A $72,400 bodily injury claim from March 2022, now closed. All other claims are under $15,000.

Loss run · Carrier A · p.3ACORD 125 · p.4
What is the expiring premium?
I could not find the expiring premium in the uploaded documents. Consider asking the insured for the current declarations page.

What it does

Answers from your documents only

Responses are limited to the ACORD forms, supplements and loss runs in the submission. No outside sources are mixed in.

Page citations on every answer

Each answer links to the document and page it relied on, so a producer can confirm it in one click.

Says when information is missing

If the packet does not contain the answer, the assistant reports it as missing, which often becomes a follow-up question for the insured.

Saved with the submission

Questions and answers stay on the submission record, so the next person on the account can see what was already checked.

How it works

  1. 1

    Ask in plain English

“Any losses over $50,000 in the last five years?” or “Do they use subcontractors?”

  2. 2

    Answer with citations

The reply quotes the relevant figures and links to the exact document and page.

  3. 3

    Save or follow up

Keep the answer on the record, or add the missing item to the follow-up email.

Questions teams actually ask

Coverage

“What limits did the insured request?”

Situation
A producer needs the requested GL limits during a call with the insured.
What PacketSlip does
The answer quotes the value from the application and links to the exact page.
Outcome
The producer confirms the number with the source on screen.

Loss history

“Any open claims over $25,000?”

Situation
An account manager prepares a renewal summary.
What PacketSlip does
Loss runs are searched and matching claims are listed with policy year and page.
Outcome
The summary is written from cited facts.

Not in the documents

“What is the insured's fleet safety program?”

Situation
The question asks about something no uploaded document mentions.
What PacketSlip does
The assistant says the information was not found instead of guessing.
Outcome
The gap becomes a question for the insured, not a made-up answer.

Questions account managers ask most

What coverage lines are requested and what are the effective dates? What percentage of work is subcontracted? Are there any open claims on the loss runs? What is the largest single loss in the last five years? Is there any residential or roofing exposure mentioned?

Because answers come only from the packet, the assistant is a fast way to check a submission — not a replacement for underwriting judgement.

Why grounded answers matter in insurance

A wrong number in a submission can mean a wrong quote, or a coverage gap discovered at claim time. General-purpose chat tools can produce confident answers that are not in the file.

PacketSlip restricts answers to the documents in the submission and shows citations, so every answer can be checked in a few seconds.

Frequently asked questions

Can the assistant make things up?

It is instructed to answer only from the uploaded documents and to cite the page. When the information is not in the packet, it says it could not find it.

Does it use information from the internet?

No. Only the documents attached to that submission are used.

Who can see the questions and answers?

Only members of your agency who have access to the submission.
